Rules

• Free to play, no purchase necessary. You need a free JTrades rewards account (just an email). You must be 18 or older. One account per person.
• The question: every US trading day, will NQ (Nasdaq-100 futures) close GREEN or RED? GREEN means the regular-session close (4:00 PM ET, 1:00 PM ET on early-close days) is above the 9:30 AM ET open. RED means below. Exactly equal is a void day: no points, and streaks stay as they are.
• Picking: picks open after the previous trading day's close, once its result is in (at most 3 hours later), and lock at 9:30:00 AM ET. One pick per person per day, final once made. There's no question on weekends and market holidays.
• Points: 50 points per correct pick, plus a 100-point bonus for every 5 correct picks in a row, up to 2,000 challenge points per month. The points for a day are fixed when its picks lock at 9:30 AM ET.
• Streaks: a wrong pick, a missed trading day, a hedged pick or a voided pick starts your streak over. A void day changes nothing, and neither does missing a day when picking was paused or the site was down before 9:30 AM ET.
• One pick per device per day. If another account already picked on your phone or computer that day, a second account can't pick there.
• Linked accounts and hedging: accounts that share an internet connection (IP address) or a device are marked as linked. If linked accounts pick opposite sides on the same day (hedging), none of them get points for that day.
• Grading: after the close we read NQ=F 5-minute prices from Yahoo Finance: the open of the 9:30 AM bar and the close of the last bar before the close. If the data is missing or looks wrong, JTrades checks the chart and grades the day by hand. A result can be corrected within 7 days, and points are adjusted to match. JTrades' decision is final.
• Points have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and are only spent in the JTrades Rewards shop.
• JTrades may void points or remove players from the challenge for abuse, such as more than one account per person, bots or hedging.
